Scratch?
A: Yes - These metals can only be scratched or damaged by extreme
measures, like abrasion from diamonds or corundum. Titanium and
stainless steel will scratch. |
| |
Q. Can Tungsten Carbide or Zirconia Ceramic shatter or
chip?
A: Yes - While extremely strong and scratch-resistant, Tungsten carbide
and Zirconia Caramic are a bit more brittle than traditional metals used
as wedding bands. The metals properties behave more like a marble
or a concrete then a metal. Specific Tungsten carbide styles are
more brittle then others and shattering and chipping are based on a
style by style basis. Forever Metals warrants against all Tungsten

Q. How does a ring remove
from a swollen finger? Can a ring be cut off?
A: Tungsten rings, Zirconia Ceramic rings, titanium rings, or stainless
steel rings can easily be slid off your finger easily using liquid soap.
Every ring comes equipped with comfort fit making it that much easier to
slide your finger from your ring. If your finger gets injured and
swells, the ring can be cut off using ring cutting tools. Rings made
extremely hard, like a tungsten ring or a Zirconia Ceramic ring, can
only be removed by cracking them into pieces with standard vice grip
style locking pliers. Standard ring cutters will not work. Removing a
tungsten ring doesn’t pose much more of a challenge than cutting through
a traditional precious metal ring. Specialty ring cutters can be used to
cut titanium rings and stainless steels rings from ones finger.
All hospitals should have the equipment used to remove all wedding band
jewelry. |

Q. Are Tungsten rings,
Zirconia Ceramic rings, titanium rings, or stainless steel rings safe?
A: Extremely hard rings don't
crush or bend out of place, like traditional gold and platinum rings.
If a heavy object were to fall on your ring, in most cases it is the
ring itself causing the hand injury placing pressures on the finger.
Tungsten rings and Zirconia Ceramic rings have properties where rather
then bending and crushing, it would rather fracture into several pieces
and fall off your finger freely. You might be safer wearing an extremely
hard ring than a precious metal band. |
